Wild & Woolly - Blisworth - Northants
27th December 2009
The challenging 20-lap race, through deep water crossings is now in its 84th year, the oldest off-road race around.
Organised by Northampton Motor Cyclists club in aid of charity,it once again saw thousands of spectators descend on Arm Farm Blisworth on a glorious sunny winter day to witness the riders, some in Fancy Dress, fight it out for this years honours.
11am saw the usual dead-engine start, but the deep water crossings becoming deeper and more congested each lap, little advantage was gained overall from an easy starting bike.
1 hour later saw James Berrill declared the winner, completing 16 laps in all and having lapped the whole field twice!
