Siam Cup Guernsey 2012

With Guernsey Vets winning 10-7, Guernsey Ladies winning 10-5 and the Guernsey Seconds winning 20-6 a faint glimmer of hope arose, maybe, just maybe, The Guernsey First XV could upset favorites Jersey and complete a "greenwash" over the dominant reds.

By half-time with the score standing at 0-29, Jersey had extinguished any chance, that this would be the year Guernsey could take the Siam "Icing" to the top there London 1 South division championship division win "cake".

Guernsey as often this season, saved their best for the second-half, with the well drilled Jersey defense tried and tested by the determination and persistence of the Guernsey forwards, eventually Malcolm Barnes scooped a loose ball and crossed the line providing some hope before being cruelly dashed by the referee's whistle and when the final whistle was blown the half-time score still stood.
