Guernsey RFC gain promontion to London One Division.

09th April 2011
With Trojans RFC trailing the London 2 South West Division leaders, Guernsey RFC, by just 4 points, the final match of the season had great signifigance for both teams.
Both sides started nervously and took the first 15 mins to settle down before Trojans put the first points on the board from a penalty. Guernsey's Andy Bailey then managed to break free of the Trojan pack and score the first try of the match. Cameron Hayton then put in an excellent run to score another try for Guernsey which is how the first half time score stood at 10-3.
The second half saw Trojans fight back strongly though, with trys from Russell Clarke and Mark Greenhalgh and another succesful penalty kick, and though Guernsey ran another try in from Barry Goude, the final whistle whistle saw Trojans win the match by 1 point, but lacking the required bonus points lose the Division title by the same margin.
